Charles Clark, 82, passed away at home in Sutter on February 13, 2013 with his wife and granddaughter at his side. He was born in Marysville, CA on September 6, 1930 to Lloyd and Eunice Clark. |
He graduated from Sutter Union High School in 1948. He joined the Army National Guard 184th Infantry after high school and was discharged in 1955 as a 2nd Lieutenant.
Charles joined the fire service where he was became captain of the Yuba City Fire Department. He was a master mechanic specializing in repair of farm equipment.
From 2001 to 2007, Charles served on the board of directors of the Sutter Community Services District. He became business manager of Alternatives 2000, until he retired in 2006.
Charles is survived by his wife of 26 years, Marilyn "Toni" Clark; two sisters, Diana Vermillion and Patricia Bruce, two brothers, Kenneth "Ed" Clark and Roland Haynes, three sons, Franklin Dean Clark, Frederick Dale (Terry) Clark, and Bart (Edden) Lynn; one daughter, Dianne Barkey; his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great grandson, and his kitties Bubba and Marie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Barbara Clark.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 23rd at the Sutter Community Services District building at 1880 Acacia Ave, Sutter, CA at 1 p.m.
