Corey Adam Amsbaugh, 21, of Wheatland, left this world on Sunday, May 20, 2012 in Roseville.

Corey was born December 22, 1990 in Roseville, to Brian and Suzanne (Kulhan) Amsbaugh. He attended Wheatland schools and graduated from Wheatland Union High School in 2009.

Corey is survived by his parents Brian and Suzanne of Wheatland; his brother Christopher (and Sandra), and his sister Courtney. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother Rozanne ("Gramma") Kulhan of Wheatland, his paternal grandfather William Amsbaugh of Missouri, niece Melanie, several aunts, uncles and cousins and his beloved dog Gus.

Corey loved the outdoors and hanging out with his friends.

A Celebration of his Life will be held in his honor on Saturday, May 26, 2012, at 11 o'clock at the Wheatland Union High School in Wheatland. It is requested that no one wears black (unless it is plaid) - boots, camo, muscle shirts and football jerseys are encouraged.

Contributions in memory of Corey can be made at any Umpqua Bank. An annual award in his name will be given at Wheatland Union High School for the football player that has the best work ethic, team spirit, dedication and drive.

Corey always played at 110% and wouldn't let anyone quit until the game was over.

The term

"I got your back dude," was heard many times by his team mates.
