David Lee Chesney
David Lee Chesney, age 59, passed on July 29, 2015 of oral cancer. He was born in Torrance, CA on August 20 1955 to loving parents Thomas Chesney and Ronna Chesney. He was a renowned bronze sculptor and artist for over 35 years. Lived in the Yuba City area for over 25 years.

He is survived by his wife Juvi Chesney (married 19 years), daughter Cathryn Hatley (29 years) & son-in-law Steven Hatley, son Myles Villahermosa (23 years), son Tyler Chesney (16 years), and grandson Steven Hatley Jr. (11 months old).

He is also survived by his mother Ronna Chesney & grandmother Myra Panick of Loma Rica, older brother Dennis Chesney & wife Judy of Browns Valley, CA, sister Janet Pierz & husband Joe of Folsom, CA, and younger brother Tom Chesney & wife Beverly of Torrance, CA. He was survived by multiple nieces and nephews, Joe Chesney, Melissa Chesney, Richard Chesney, Alicia Chesney, John Chesney, and Jessica Pierz. He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Chesney and grandfather Ronald Panick.

He was a loving husband, caring father, playful brother, compassionate son, and happy grandpa, he put his family first and worked harder than most to give them all they could desire.

He loved to fish, loved the ocean, loved animals, loved to wheel and deal, was kind to every soul he met, always lending a helping hand, and would give the shirt of his back to anyone he thought could use it. His death is a great loss to his family and the art community.

Services will be held on August 22 2015 at 11am at Lakeside Colonial Chapel & Crematory 530-749-9277. Contributions may be made in his honor to Sutter North Hospice 400 Plumas Blvd., Yuba City.
