Trula Karnegis fell asleep in the Lord on September 11, 2013 at The Gardens in Yuba City. Trula was born in Oakland, CA on February 26, 1915 to Ourania & Harry Polos.
In 1941 she married John D. Karnegis and moved to Yuba City. They owned The Log Cabin in Marysville, for several years and then purchased acreage in Yuba City and became Peach farmers.
Trula worked at Yuba-Sutter Laundry for 36 years. She was a member of the Laundry Workers Union, The Daughters of Penelope, and St. Katherine's Greek Orthodox Church in Elk Grove.
Trula is predeceased by her husband of 47 years, John D. and her sister Katherine Head.
Survivors include 3 children, Uraine Cook and Dimitri Karnegis (Eleni) both of Yuba City and Harold Athon (Stell) of Corvallis, OR, nephew, Thomas Head of Auburn; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
At Trula's request she was interned at a private family burial on September 17, 2013 at Sutter Cemetery, by Fr. Dino Pappademos of St. Katherine's Greek Orthodox Church. We will always love our beloved Mom, YiaYia, BG.
