Dennis (Bud) Shingle Obituary

12/15/1950 - 2/13/2016

Our Sweet Husband, stepfather, brother, "popo" and friend left this earth for higher ground at home on February 13, 2016.

He was born in Marysville, Ca on December 15, 1950 to Laverne and Charles "Bill" Shingle being middle of three sons. After graduation from Marysville High School in 1969, he went to work in the family business Shingle Travel Agency as the third generation. He later went to work in the field of aeronautics for Gulfstream, Inc. He loved aeronautics and would loved to have been a pilot. He also loved the freedom of riding his Goldwind through the Sutter Buttes.

In 1981 he married Gwen "Gail" Shingle on the island of Jamaica and became the stepfather of her two sons. They spent their first twenty years in the Hallwood area before moving to Yuba City.

He was predeceased by his mother, father and younger brother, Casey Shingle.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Gail., his stepsons, Josh and Colby Robinson of Yuba City, his grandson, Jason (Megan) Ballantine of Bangor, his grandson, Kahlan Robinson of Arkansas, his granddaughters, Brittney and Ashley Robinson of Wheatland, and his great grandson and great granddaughter due in March and April. He is also survived by his older brother, Warren Shingle of Sacramento and many other family and friends as well as all of his dogs.

He will be missed by many but we find peace knowing he has found peace.

"You are now in the cockpit, sweety. Fly high and enjoy the serenity of the flight". At his request there will be no "special fanfare" but his family will celebrate his memory privately.
