Dolores Mae Scott

Dolores Mae Scott 85, of Loma Rica passed away October 24, 2010 at her residence. She was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 45 years. Dolores was born in Colon, Nebraska to her parents, Alvin and Mary Dockweiler. She moved to Marysville in 1965 where she made many friends over the years who will dearly miss her. She loved gathering with family and friends for camping trips, fishing, and barbecues. She was a fantastic cook and enjoyed bringing everyone together for celebrations and holidays. There was always a place for everyone in her home and she touched many lives. Dolores was a devoted member to the Foothill Lions Club, where she enjoyed her volunteer work for the Local community. She will be greatly missed and remembered by her son, Kenneth W. Vess (wife Sheri) of Loma Rica; daughter, Cynthia A. Wallace (husband Allen) of Espanola, N.M.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald D. Scott; daughter, Dianne Wood; brothers Albert Divis, Edward Divis, Joe Divis, William Divis, and Percy Dockweiler; sister Marie Houdek; and grandson Timothy Vess. Viewing will be held at Lipp and Sullivan Funeral home on Wednesday, October 27 at 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 28 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church of Marysville with the Father Xavier Godwin officiating. A reception will be held immediately following the services at The Foothill Lions Club, 5667 Fruitland Road, Loma Rica, CA 95901.
