Don Landrus went to be with the Lord on September 1, 2017, as a result of complications from a stroke.

Don was born Donald Clarence Landrus on April 16, 1927 in Woodland, California, the youngest of 9 brothers and 1 sister. He attended grammar school in Williams and high school in Willows, then went to college in Chico.

After a short stint in the navy as a storekeeper/disburser and holding down several jobs, Don settled on his career with State Farm Insurance. He spent 29 years with State Farm as a claims adjuster and managed the Yuba City District Claims Office for 25 years of those years

Don was also a licensed Real Estate salesman for 20 years and according to him "was pretty darn good at it, too"

Don's greatest joy was as a member of the Shriners Jester's and a part of the transportation group that took handicapped children to and from the Shriners Hospital in Sacramento. His son Tim remembers how his smile would gleam when he talked about the children he took to the hospital and their successful treatment. Don also spoke often of giving back to the community through the Masons and the Shriners community projects.

Don was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Billie Rose, and all 9 of his brothers and sisters. Don is survived by his twin son's Tracy and wife Gwen, Tim and wife Vicki, grand children Donald and wife Tasha, and Tori and husband Dustin. Don was also blessed with 3 great grandchildren.
