A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 19, 2014, 4:00 pm at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Gridley for Donald Eugene Coleman, 48 of Gridley. He passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 in Gridley.|
Donald was born on November 17, 1965 in Gridley, on his Uncle Raymond's Birthday, and received his middle name in honor of him.
Donald considered himself fortunate to be an Army brat, traveling and living around the world including, Iran, Panama, Turkey, England, Spain, and Costa Rica as well as all of the continental United States with the exception of two states. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and attended Adventist Schools during both grade and High School at Enterprise Academy, and graduated from Kansas State University. He worked at the Broken Arrow Ranch in Kansas, while in high school and during his undergraduate studies. He did his graduate studies at OK City University. He also worked at the Good Samaritan Center and as a paralegal. He enjoyed singing, and was a member of Reflectors of God's Love Choir and sang at many community and church functions. He also enjoyed outdoor sports, including tennis and golf. Donald was blessed with a very good memory, if he heard it once he would remember it. He was also very patriotic.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Coleman.
He is survived by his mother, Ruby (Lorene) Coleman; one brother, Walter Lee Coleman of Raleigh, NC, two sisters, Deana Kerwin of Bangor, CA, Aza Hess of Omaha, NB; & numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2014 from 5 to 8 pm at Gridley Block Funeral Chapel.
Interment will be private.
