Doris Andreason Doll Obituary

Doris Andreason Doll, 100, died peacefully in her residence at the Prestige Assisted Living facility in Marysville on February 5, 2017. Born in Berkeley, California on May 25, 1916, she was a lifelong Yuba-Sutter resident and a graduate of Marysville High School, Yuba College and attended Dominican College in Marin County. She was a homemaker from a second generation farming family, growing up surrounded by orchards and after her marriage she and her husband became rice growers.

Doris loved the outdoors and her family enjoyed many summers at their cabin in Chester where she was an accomplished trout angler; fabulous cook and a savvy bridge player as neighbors would gather in the evenings on their front deck.

In addition, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church; the Order of the Eastern Star, the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, a Pink Lady hospital volunteer and an avid golfer as a charter member of the Peach Tree Golf and Country Club. She was a Master Bridge player; skillful in dominoes as well as handcrafts such as needlepoint, knitting and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Doll and her brother Bill Andreason. Survivors include her daughter, Doris Ann Dugger of Loomis and son Chuck Doll of Yuba City, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A private family memorial service will be held in her loving memory under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel in Yuba City. The Doll family would like to thank Prestige Assisted Living and Bristol Hospice of Roseville for their professional and caring services and our heartfelt appreciation to Joanne Keech who befriended our mother years ago and provided her with much care and affection.
