Doris J Newbold peacefully died December 30, 2013 of heart complications with members of her family at her side.

She was born in Yuba City, CA, to the parents of Joseph and Mary Rose on June 11, 1925. She married Farrel Newbold on May 25, 1946. Doris graduated from Marysville High School and went back to college after raising her children and attained an AA degree at Yuba College. She was always involved with community and church services such as Marysville Adult Activity Center, Softball manager, 4H leader, Rideout Pink Lady, Eucharistic minister, Catholic Daughters, Altar Society, Marriage Encounter, A Women's Friend, and Catholic Charismatic Renewal.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Farrel Newbold. Preceded in death by her daughter Catherine Newbold and survived by her other children: Nancy Newbold (Sandy Caldwell) of San Carlos, CA, Linda Conger of Olivehurst, Dan Newbold (Kathy) of Eugene, OR, Tori Thornton of Eugene, OR, Teresa Newbold of Marysville, David Newbold of Eugene, OR. She had 25 grandchildren, 23 great grands and 3 greatgreats. She is also survived by her siblings Jean Sperbeck, Jerry Rose (Beverly), Evelyn Pederson (Bob) and Judy Bailey (Chris) and numerous nieces and nephews.

She has been a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marysville for her entire life.

Memorial Mass will be said on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 11am. Followed by a reception at St. Joseph's Hall. Family and friends are invited.
