1924 - 2015 Obituary Condolences
Dorothy M. Ingram Obituary

On Sunday evening, November 29, 2015, our mother Dorothy M. Ingram went home to be with the Heavenly Father. She passed on to life eternal, quietly and peacefully, in her home of 56 years with her loving family at her side after a brief illness.

Mom was born in Belvue, Kansas, on April 26, 1924 and her family moved to California when she was five years old, eventually settling in the Yuba-Sutter area.

She was the sixth of eight girls and is preceded in death by all seven of her sisters as well as her husband of 65 years, Robert A. Ingram.

She is survived by her four children, Jeanette Warner of Yuba City, Donald Ingram of Reno, Robert M. Ingram and wife Cindy and Ronald Ingram and partner Bob Puliti, all of Yuba City, plus four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mom worked as a nurses aide at the county hospital for several years but then left so she could devote herself full time to being a wife and mother. She was an incredible mom who made each of her children feel special in their own way.

Mom enjoyed singing, painting, working in her yard, her family and her little dog Sadie. She was a life long animal lover, especially dogs, something she passed on to all of her children. Mom had a great sense of humor and would sing and dance at all family gatherings. She performed a great rendition of "Old Slouch Hat" to the delight of all who saw it.

To say she will be missed is an understatement. She was everything good in the world, an angel on earth. As her family, we were greatly blessed to have her for so many years. Now she has gone on to be reunited with our dad and her many family members. Heaven has gained a bright new angel, but we have lost the person who was the heart of our family.

Mom will be laid to rest next to dad on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at 2:00 PM at Sierra View Memorial Park.
