Francis Bowes Obituary

Francis (Frank) Bowes passed away peacefully at home Saturday August 13, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn of sixty years and leaves behind two daughters Mary Bowes and Susan Ladino (Dennis), 2 sons Michael (Joy) and Robert (Angela), and a grandson Kyle Bowes.

Frank resided in Yuba County for the past 44 years. He was born in Somerset area of New York, drafted into the Army and honorably discharged. He then enlisted in the Air Force where he spent the next twenty years in transportation (driving all kinds of vehicles) and was honorably discharged. He spent the next years of his life driving trucks and school buses. He was a lifelong member of the VFW at post 4095 where he was a past commander and took an active role in Post activities (Bingo, Poppy Drive, Parades, and recruiting new members for the VFW). He has received numerous awards and certificates of appreciation.

Services and Viewing will be held at Lakeside Colonial Chapel, 830 D St., Marysville on Tuesday August 23, 2016. Viewing will be at 10:00 a.m., Service at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow after the service at the Bonanza Convention Center, 1001 Clark Ave., Yuba City at 12:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
