Gary Frank Bowen
Gary Frank Bowen passed away on December 19th, 2013.

Gary was born in Colusa, CA on May 24th, 1949. He lived in Maxwell, CA for the last 64 years.

Gary served in the Navy in 1969, and worked as a farmer thereafter. He enjoyed hunting water fowl, going to the local sporting events to watch his kids and grandkids play baseball and football and spending time with his family.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Vicki Bowen of Maxwell, CA; son Jim Bowen of Maxwell, CA; daughter Michelle Holmes of Germany; twin brother Jerry Bowen of Chico, CA; sisters Kim Bowen Womble of Colusa, CA and Lynn Bowen Burnham of Maxwell, CA; grandchildren James and Jani Bowen and Philip Holmes; mother-in-law Elinor Bruhn; sisters-in- law Joann Knight and Kathy Kossow; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all.

Gary was preceded in death by his brother Larry Bowen; his father and mother Leonard H. Bowen and Bettie H. Bowen of Maxwell, CA.

Gary was an affiliate of the American Legion Post 218 and the Maxwell Fire Dept., where he was "Fireman of The Year" in 2001. He also enjoyed coaching little league.

Services will be held at the Maxwell Fire Hall at 11 a.m., Monday December 30th, 2013.
