George Earl Riley Obituary

George Earl Riley, age 90, of Yuba City, passed away on July 6, 2015.

The longtime Yuba- Sutter resident was born April 26, 1925, in Akron, Ohio, and retired as a bioanalyst and owner of Medical Center Laboratory in Yuba City after more than 30 years in the medical field.

A member of Sons of retirement, where he has served as bowling chairman for several years, he has been a member of the Marysville Presbyterian Church for more than 50 years.

The World War II veteran served as a medical corpsman from 1943 - 1945 and is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Riley; sons, Kirk Riley (Phyllis) of Marysville, Paul Riley (Sally) of Clearlake and Bruce Riley (Jennifer) of Rancho Cordova; daughter, Ruth McGowan (Michael) of Yuba City; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Ann Elizabeth Wilhelm and brothers Justain Riley, David Southwood and Warren Southwood.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Marysville Presbyterian Church.
