Gerald "Oz" Reuben Piaskowski, 79 years old, passed away at his home in Marysville on July 28, 2017.

He was born on December 3, 1937 in Green Bay, WI and is the son of the late Reuben and Suzanne (Roznowski) Piaskowski.

Gerald graduated from East High School with the class of 1956. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. A member of the Peach Bowl Lions Club, he was awarded a life membership in 2012, was a Melvin Jones Fellow, a Lions Eye Foundation Life Member, a City of Hope Life Sustainer, a 4C-1 Health Foundation Member and Club Lion of the Year in 2006. He was an active member until his passing, serving as White Cane Chairman for the last several years and a member of the Yuba City Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Piaskowski of Maryville, CA; one daughter, Jill Cobb of Aliso Viejo, CA; two sons, Jeffrey Piaskowski (significant other, Pam Beals) of Lake Forest, CA, and Jerald Piaskowski of San Diego, CA. Four grandchildren: Jeffrey Piaskowski (Ashley) and Tara Danielle Piaskowski, all of Pleasanton, CA, Elizabeth Fiorito, and Emmalee Cobb, all of San Diego, CA; five great-grandchildren, Ryland, Charlie, Emmett and Erza Fiorito and Brooklyn Rose Piaskowski; five sisters, Barbara (Les) Briggs of Laguna Niguel, CA, Susie Kaye, Dorothy (Gerald) Rogers and Lynda (Roger) Shaha, all of Green Bay WI, and Joan (Bryant) Prentice of Jacksonville, FL; one brother, James Piaskowski of Laguna Beach, CA and many nieces and nephews .

He was preceded in death by his parents Reuben and Suzanne (Roznowski) Piaskowski.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 18, 2017, at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 222 S. Clark Avenue, Yuba City, with Father Brown officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Services in Yuba City, CA, (530) 673-9542.
