Gloria Rachel Hanagan Booth Obituary

June 25, 1923 - December 5, 2015

Gloria Rachel Hanagan Booth, passed away on December 5, 2015. Born on June 25 in Winnipeg Canada, the oldest of 4 children of Raymond and Genevieve Hanagan.

She is survived by her younger sister, Sr. Barbara Hanagan, and predeceased by her younger brother Raymond Hanagan and her sister Alice Andreason.

Gloria graduated from Notre Dame High School in Marysville and continued her education at Yuba College receiving a degree in Liberal Arts. She proudly served 2 years as a Wave in the U.S. Navy, training in the Bronx in New York and continuing her service in San Diego during World War II.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Frank with whom she shared 41 years of marriage, until his passing in 1987, she is survived by her 5 children; her daughters Kathleen Palmer, Barbara and her husband Tim Ross, Jennifer and her husband Robert Goodman, and her sons Martin and his wife Mary and Lawrence and his wife Marjorie as well as 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was the matriarch of all!

Services will be held at St. Joseph's Church in Marysville on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 11am. A reception will immediately follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rideout Foundation, 618 5th Street, Marysville, California 95901.

Gloria was a dynamo, a force of nature beloved by her family and many friends.

The world is a sadder place today without our much loved mother.
