Grace M. Digini, 88, of Yuba City passed away April 15, 2013 after a 3 year battle with Alzheimer's. She was born on May 9, 1924 in the North Beach area of San Francisco, CA, to Tony and May Cosenza.
Grace is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Alfred; 4 children: Michael (Pauline) of Santa Clara, Carol Rindon (Marty) of Yuba City, David of Carson City, Nev., and Mariann Nelson (Mark) of Roseville; 7 grandchildren: Krista, Karissa, James, Heather, Matt, Allison, & Jordan; 3 great grandchildren: Eli, Olivia, and Ella; niece, Corinne; nephew, Jim; and great niece Jennifer.
Grace was raised in San Franciso and attended Mission H.S. She married Alfred Digini and moved to the East Side of San Jose where they raised their 4 children. She was a retired school secretary for the Alum Rock School District. She loved the beach and spent many summers in Santa Cruz. She was active in the PTA during the children's school years, loved to attend the SF Bay Bombers roller derby, and bowled in several leagues.
After the children were grown, she and Fred moved to Green Valley, Arizona. In 2005 they moved to Yuba City to be closer to family again.
The family held a Celebration of Life Memorial at the Digini home.
