Hayden Nicholas Elliott Obituary

Hayden Nicholas Elliott, 15, of Yuba City and Oregon House, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2016, surrounded by friends and family. Hayden attended Loma Rica Elementary and Foothill Intermediate Schools and was enrolled at Marysville High School.

Hayden battled cancer courageously from the time of his original diagnosis of osteosarcoma in 2011. He never stopped fighting through the entire course of his treatments, and was known for his sense of humor and "million megawatt smile." He loved sports and played basketball, baseball and soccer. He was a huge fan of the San Francisco Giants, 49ers and the Golden State Warriors. He also loved video games and was a highly ranked player on Call of Duty.

Hayden is survived by his mother and stepfather Megan (Handy) and John Tenaglio of Yuba City; his father Nicholas Elliott, of Roseville; his twin brother, Hunter Elliott; his sister, Ava Elliott and brother, Hank Tenaglio. He is also survived by an extended family and many devoted friends, and hundreds of people who were inspired by his fight.

The families would like to express their gratitude for all of the support, prayers and love expressed from the entire community. A memorial service will be held at Crossroads Community Church in Yuba City on Saturday March 12, 2016 at 11:00 AM, with a reception luncheon to be held immediately after.
