Hazel A. Andrews, 76, of Yuba City formally of Fremont, CA, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 18, 2013 at her residence in Yuba City surrounded by her loving family. |
She was born May 4, 1937 in Terre Haute, Indiana. She was a longtime Yuba City resident. Hazel retired from Bank of America after over 20 years of service.
Hazel was a member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church of Yuba City, Plumas Lake Ladies Club, DOLLS, Yuba City Moose Lodge, former president of the Fremont Youth football league and other youth sports organizations. Hazel enjoyed meeting new people and was always willing to share her witty sense of humor. Hazel also enjoyed playing golf, traveling with her husband and friends, and spent many hours over the years attending (and at times organizing) her children's various sporting events, and activities.
Hazel is survived by her husband of 58 years, Don Andrews of Yuba City; daughter, Sherree Andrews of Tampa, FL; sons, Don Andrews Jr. (Christie) of Lake Havasu City, AZ, & Gary Andrews (Caryn) of Bellingham, WA; daughter, Glendora Andrews of Grass Valley; grandchildren: Catherine Andrews, Bryce Andrews, Ian Andrews, Taylor Andrews, Nathan Andrews.
Hazel is preceded in death by her brother, Samuel Windley; & sister, Janet Chestnut.
Celebration of Life Memorial services will be held at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church Sunday, June 23, 2013 at 3:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions can also be made to St. Andrew Mother Hubbard's Cupboard in Hazel's name.
