She loved to sing and go dancing and enjoyed a good night out! While in Texas, Melba performed as a singer with a local band Beto Villa. Her last performance was in Falfurrias, Texas at her 50th class reunion.

Melba was married 8 times. She would often talk and laugh about each with loving thoughts and stories. They each had a special place in her heart. They were Howard Little, Sr., John Uriola, Tommy Conley, Pete Wasilchen, Roy Landerman, Art Stone (2) and the love of her life, Jack Blevins, former Chief of Police of Marysville and mayor whom she was married to for over 20 years before his passing.
