Jack Johnson Obituary

Jack David Johnson born June 9, 1924 in Los Angeles, CA passed away September 2, 2010 in Marysville, CA. Jack grew up in Barstow and Riverside. He served in the US Army Infantry Division, 1943-1958 at Prince Rupert, Canada, Fort Ord, CA, Germany, Japan and Korea. He worked for Riverside Produce between military duty and after discharge. He moved to Yuba City in 1979 where he owned and operated Lucky Star Produce until retirement in 1991. Jack traveled in his R.V. many years seeing much of the US. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose for 52 years. Survivors include Glenndyn Johnson, wife of 48 years (Yuba City); Lorraine Bailey, daughter (Meridan); Ted Johnson, son (Elkton, VA), Gene Johnson, son, (Colusa); Tracey Kirkpatrick, nephew, (Torrance). Preceded in death by parents Albert & Myrtle Johnson; sisters Marjorie Johnson, Shirley Kirkpatrick and a nephew, Dan Kirkpatrick. Graveside services will be Friday, September 24, 2010, 2:00 PM at Sutter Cemetery with a celebration of his life following at the Moose Lodge 205 S. Walton Ave., Yuba City, CA. Donations may be made to charity of choice. Services under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel. Send Condolences at www.appealdemocrat.com
