James A. Waller Obituary

James A. Waller passed away at home on July 30, 2015 at the age of 79.

Jim is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years Ethelmae Waller. He is lovingly remembered by his daughters Erin Clark and Kirsten de Urioste, sons in law Brad Clark and Doug de Urioste, grandsons Alex and Spencer de Urioste, and brothers John and Matt Waller. He is predeceased by his parents, John and Bertha Waller and sister, Carol Ann Millis.

Jim was born in Gridley, CA on August 6, 1935. He was a graduate of Gridley High School, Yuba College and UC Davis, where he played football and studied Agriculture. He became a well-respected Peach Farmer, and was the third generation to own and operate the family farm he loved, until his death.

Jim was actively involved in the community, and enjoyed sports; playing football, baseball, basketball and golf over his lifetime. However, his greatest passions in life were family, friends and farming. The most valuable gift you could give him, and the most precious gift he gave others, was that of enjoying time spent together.

A graveside service will be held at Sutter Cemetery, Sutter, CA on August 7, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Immediately following the service, a gathering of friends and family will take place at Waller Ranch, Marysville, CA.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation to the Lupus Foundation of America, or a charity of your choosing.
