James Blaine White Sr. Obituary

March 13, 1927 - March 7, 2017

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend James Blaine White, Sr. of Yuba City passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the morning of March 7, 2017 with his loving wife Judy by his side, just six days short of his 90th birthday.

Jim was born on March 13, 1927 in El Paso, TX to James Blaine White and Hazel Deitiker White.

In 1946 Jim enlisted in the Army Air Corps and was sent to Okinawa where he served his country. During his tour of duty he was honored with an unexpected introduction to Dwight D Eisenhower, Supreme Allied Commander and future president of the United States.

After his tour of duty he met a young lady named Maxine Isaac and fell head-over-heels in love. Jim and Maxine married and settled in Yuba City, raising their three children.

In 1969, they moved to Alaska and opened AATCO Transmission in Anchorage and Fairbanks. They then returned home to the Yuba-Sutter area and opened up two more shops, one in Marysville and the other in Yuba City. After retiring from AATCO he and Maxine travelled widely for many years.

Jim and Maxine were also avid league bowlers, often participating in multiple leagues at once.

After Maxine passed, Jim needed a new companion to share his adventures with and Judy was the perfect fit. They married and spent countless trips to the desert hiking, exploring, and photographing the beauty. Judy kept Jim active and young at heart for many years. He often confided how happy he was with her.

Jim was preceded in death by his mother and father, Maxine his wife of 52 years, and his sister, Helen Kroll.

He is survived by his wife Judy, son James B White, Jr (Vicky) of Loma Rica, daughters Marsha White of Yuba City and Karen Troxel (Alan) of Wheatland, grandson James B White IV (Brianna) of Loma Rica, granddaughter Jaime Gascon (Joevic) of Marysville, and two great-granddaughters Carmen and Madison White of Loma Rica. He is also survived by Judy's daughter Jennifer White (Ron) of Loma Rica and his granddaughter, McKenna.

Visitation will start at 11:00AM prior to services starting at 1:00PM Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Ullrey Memorial Chapel with Pastor Dennis Schmall officiating. Burial will be at Sutter Cemetery with military honors by the Beale AFB Honor Guard. Arrangement under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel.
