James Eric Holloway Obituary

James Eric Holloway, born March 24th, 1957, passed away Monday, October 28, 2013. "Jamie" was a longtime Sacramento resident who will be missed by his wife, Genevieve Holloway of Olivehurst, California and his circle of family and friends.

James' occupations included working as a bond agent, driving a tow truck and operating a big rig after completing driving school with distinction. James' life passions were auto racing, mining for gold, hitting the road for a long road trip, and the outdoors. He worked as a volunteer race "flagger" at Sears Point, Laguna Seca Raceway, and more recently at motocross races in Marysville, CA. James loved the thrill of race competition and his love of NASCAR was an example of many racing sports he loved to attend. James took every opportunity as an adult to get outdoors, often spending time on the Yuba River or spending time gold panning in Forest City in Sierra County.

"Jamie" will be sorely missed as he has left us far too soon. James is survived by his wife Genevieve, his sister, Kristine (Rich) Swanner of Citrus Heights, brother, Jon (Amy) Holloway of Sacramento, and his two nieces, Kylie and Emily Holloway who will miss their Uncle Jamie greatly.

Recognition of James Holloway's life will take place on the Yuba River at the Hammon Grove State Park on Highway 20. Due to uncertain weather, the event's date is tentatively planned for Monday, Nov. 11th or Sunday, Nov. 17th at 11:00 a.m. Please call Jon Holloway at (916) 804-2141 for details and location if you would like to attend.

In memory of James, donations can be made to the local .
