James Leroy (Jim) West Obituary
James (Jim) Leroy West
On the evening of February 8, 2014, James (Jim) Leroy West peacefully went to rest in the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ. Born to Mack "Holly" and Mary West on July 27, 1938 in Shelby, Mississippi.

Jim was an honest hard working man that took pride in providing for his family and helping anyone that needed help - a stranger he never met. Jim was a truck driver for E.B. Stone & Son in Salinas for over 25 years. He also worked for Growers Ice and Union Ice until his employment with Pacific Gas & Electric as an Equipment Operator for GC Line. Jim retired from PG&E in 1998.

Jim enjoyed working on Classic Cars especially his 1957 Chevys. He also enjoyed Car Shows, Swap Meets and his morning coffee with friends at Dukes Diner.

Jim is survived by his wife Pearl of 55 years; sister Joyce Armstrong of Florida and sons, Jimmy (Lisa) of Redding, Gary (Brenda) of Arboga, Jeff (Sara) of Whitmore; 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, with another on the way and numerous nephews, nieces and many friends.

He was a blessing to us all and we are thankful.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at the Arboga Community Center - 1662 Broadway St., Arboga, CA (next to Arboga Elementary School) - Dress Casual - BBQ & Food will be provided as Dad wouldn't want it any other way. Come join us. Rest In Peace "Pops" Big Jim.
