James R. "(Jim)" Rogers Obituary
A loving husband, dad, pop and brother passed away December 8, 2013 at home surrounded by his family. Jim was born August 17, 1950 in Colusa, CA to Al and Rose Rogers.

Jim was a lifelong native of Colusa, the community he loved. He was a past member of the Colusa County Fair Board (Past President); Redskin Athletic Foundation (founding member). Jim proudly served as a member of: CAPCA (Past President); Maxwell American Legion; California Rice Commission; Colusa Farm Show Committee (Chairman); Sutter Basin Water Agency (Director) & Colusa Rural Fire District (40 year volunteer lastly as a Captain).

Jim loved the outdoors and was a farmer, avid hunter and cook. He farmed for over 30 years and was in agricultural sales for Simplot and AgriSource.

He is survived by his wife Maxi, daughter Sara Rogers and son Ben Rogers. Jim was an adoring Pop to Kyle Stacey and Teale Stacey. He is also survived by brothers Frank and John Rogers, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jim will always be remembered for his unconditional love, care and support of family and friends. Jim's sense of humor and great wit will continue to bring a smile to all who knew him.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12th with a Rosary service beginning at 7:00p.m. at the McNary-Moore, 107 5th Street Colusa. Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday Dec. 13th at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 4th and Oak Colusa. Burial will follow at the Holycross Catholic cemetery.

Donations may be made to Colusa Redhawks Athletic Foundation (CRAF) or Sacramento River Fire District in his memory.
