Janice Mary Myers Cobia Obituary

Janice Mary Myers Cobia, daughter of John and Janet Myers, passed away January 6, 2015. She was born and raised in Yuba City. She married Ronald R. Cobia and they had two children, Kevin Ray and Deborah Louise, both deceased.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Linda Major Cobia, two grandsons, Bobby Clark (Melissa) and Derek Jones; three granddaughters, Paisley Moore, Mandy Cobia and Emily Purvis (Tony). She also is survived by a great-granddaughter, Ceres Mia Moore, and a great-grandson, Phoenix Benjamin Gobbell. She is also survived by a twin sister, Janet Marie Myers; a brother, Mervin Myers; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and five brothers.

Janice graduated from Yuba City High School in 1954 and was a beautician, housewife and mother. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many calling at her church. Her gentle, happy nature and loving spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Stake Center, 1470 Butte House Rd., Yuba City, at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 15, 2015. Burial will be at the Sutter Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ullrey memorial Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.
