Jasbir Singh "Jaga" Bains

October 24, 1955 - September 26, 2010. Jasbir was born in Kampala, Uganda on October 24, 1955 to Baldev and Gurcharan Bains. He was raised in Mahlipur, Punjab, India and migrated to Yuba City, California in 1972. He was a resident of Sutter County for 38 years where he worked in the farming and trucking industries. Jasbir had a genuine and caring personality with a great sense of humor. He was both courageous and confident, and his unyielding personality always allowed him to speak his mind. He had a passion for gardening, working on cars and cooking. He was a selfless individual; always willing to lend a helping hand. Jasbir was an amazing individual who encountered many obstacles and challenges through life, but was always able to overcome them and remain strong. After his father passed, Jasbir was able to fill his shoes and become the foundation of his family. He was a caring husband to Rajinder Kaur Bains and loving father to Damandeep, Tejwant and Pavandeep. He was adored by his sisters Jasbir Mander and Sukhbinder Gill. His pride and joy was his grandson, Shaan. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dilbag Bains. Prayer services will start at 11:00 am Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010 at Ullrey Memorial Chapel.
