Jerry Don Killion Obituary

Jerry Don Killion, of Yuba City passed December 8, 2017. He was born in the rural town of Meadow View, near Poteau Oklahoma to Frank and Clara Killion on July 26, 1935.

He joined the Navy reserves for 2 years and proceeded to serve in the US Air Force for 7 years. He moved to Arbuckle and opened the first ENCO gas station. He was always self-employed, his many businesses included a gas station in Madison, a pool hall and frosty in Arbuckle and Wheatland, and also had his own sand and gravel business. He also worked for Alsco-Geyer.

Jerry was a hard worker, even up until the end of his journey. His most prized possessions were his wife, children and grandchildren. He loved gold mining, fishing, and watching western TV shows.

He married Arlene Kessler and together have 3 surviving children, Janis Young, Jimmie Killion, Becky Killion-Godinez, 9 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. He is survived by his brother Lowell Dale Killion. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Clara Killion, brothers Bill and Kenneth Killion, a daughter Brenda and son Jerry Jr. Killion. He will be greatly missed by all.

A graveside service will be conducted by his son Pastor Jim Killion on Saturday, December 16, 2017, 11 am, at Arbuckle Cemetery. The memorial service and reception will follow at The Church on the Rock in Woodland at 1pm, 630 Cottonwood Street.
