Jimmie Willis Obituary

Jimmie Willis, 83, passed away November 14, 2013 at home. He had been a resident of the Yuba-Sutter area since 1941. Born in Pecan Gap, Texas on April 20, 1930. He was a prior resident of Yakima, Washington.

Jimmie enlisted in the Navy in 1948.

He joined a family member in the taxi business in Marysville, he was the co-owner of City Cab, Yellow Cab and Dallas Taxi. He was also the founder of Jim's Tow Service for approximately 30 years.

Jimmie was an avid hunter and fisherman and very good at both.

He was preceded in death by his wife Martha Spradley Willis, and parents Jim (Big Jim) & Phenton Willis.

Survivors include his daughter Colleen Deblick of Yuba City, son Lindsay of Peru; brother Ralph of Yuba City; grandchildren Heather, Rachel, Michele, and Victoria, and great grandchild Paxton McKeython all of Yuba City; nieces Carolyn Reynolds of W. Sacramento, Katy Wills of Chico.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Sutter Cemetery. Reception to follow at 2888 Franklin Rd., Yuba City.
