
Jito Jhutti, 84, of Yuba City, CA died Thursday, May 31, 2012 in Spokane, WA. She was born on September 1, 1927 in Gondpur, India, to Gina and Bhani Bains.
Jito had two older brothers, Darshan and Bakhtawar Bains as well as two younger siblings, Sadhu Bains and Reshmo Jhutti. She married Gurdev Singh Jhutti of Kalewal Bhagtan on November 27, 1948. Although Jito moved to Spokane, WA to live with her youngest son Paul Jhutti, her heart was always in Yuba City. Jito was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Telling stories and bringing joy to her family was her passion, and babying her youngest son Paul was her job.
Jito is survived by her husband Gurdev Singh Jhutti; her children Nirmal Singh Jhutti, Palo Sahota, Balvinder Nagra, and Paul Singh Jhutti; her son-in-laws Santokh Sahota and Ranvir Nagra; her daughter-in- laws Jasbir Jhutti and Gurpreet Jhutti; and her nine grandchildren Ravi Jhutti, Rickie Sahota, Rajie Sahota, Sandy Jhutti, Raman Nagra, Karen Nagra, Suraj Jhutti, Jaiden Nagra, and Diya Jhutti.
She was preceded in death by her parents Gina and Bhani Bains, and her two older brothers Darshan and Bakhtawar Bains.
Prayer services will start at Ullrey Memorial Chapel, Yuba City, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2012, followed by final prayer and cremation at Ullrey Memorial Chapel. Additional prayer services will follow at Tierra Buena Sikh Temple.
