Johnny, 71, of Sutter, passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 4, 2013. He was a resident of Sutter for one year after residing in Slidell, Louisiana for 35 years. Johnny was born Sept. 16, 1941 in Saint Jo, Texas at his Aunt Zorra's House.

Johnny served 6 years in the U.S. Army and is a Vietnam veteran. He worked for Mobil Oil Corporation for over 30 years working on the off shore rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, and retired as a Boat Captain. Mobil honored him by naming a offshore drilling platform after him.

Uncle Johnny was a kind man with a great sense of humor. He was a member of the Sutter Baptist Church and a long time Mason. He loved going hunting, fishing and golfing, and country music.

Johnny is survived by his sister Jody Graham; nieces Jayedene Chesini, Tammy Schleigh, and Lonnell Gaither; nephew Pat Graham, and their families; cousins Iris Hurst of Mississippi, Maria Hernandez of Louisiana, and their families; and Mr. & Mrs. Pat Patrick of Slidell, Louisiana.

Johnny was preceded in death by daughter Holly, his wife Mary Redman, parents John & Beulah Redman, and brother-in-law Lonnie Graham.

Services will be held at the Sutter Baptist Church, 2310 Mulberry Street in Sutter, with Military Honors following at the Sutter Cemetery.

Donations can be made in his name to Sutter North Hospice or Sutter Baptist Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel.
