John Charles Campbell Jr. Obituary
John (Jack) Charles Campbell Jr. passed away in Orland, CA on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the age of 85.

Jack was born in Sacramento, CA on December 22, 1930. He graduated from Willows High School in 1949 and went on to earn a Master's in Biology and General Science from California State University Chico in 1955.

Jack's first job out of college was teaching at Butte Community College in Oroville, CA. After his father passed away, Jack moved back to Willows to continue in his father's and grandfather's footsteps in running the Campbell Ranch. During this time, Jack became a director at Kanawha Water District and began teaching at Willows Unified School District as an eighth grade science teacher. Jack became the first manager of Kanawha Water District in 1975, and their first water delivery was in 1976. Jack then accepted a position as the manager of the Tehama Colusa Canal Authority in 1989 and remained there until his retirement in 1995.

Upon Jack's retirement, he and Donna started Expressive Surroundings Picture Framing on Sycamore Street in Willows.

Jack enjoyed photography and film developing, picture framing, motorcycles, reading, anything to do with the ocean and coast, camping, and he had a lifelong love of animals and nature. He was in fact a conservationist with a lifelong understanding of the balance of nature. Jack will always be remembered for his quick and quirky wit and great sense of humor.

Jack was a member of the Willows United Methodist Church and had been a member of Willows Rotary and served on the Glenn County Planning Commission.

Jack is preceded in death by his wife Donna Campbell and son Michael Campbell.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Anne Baxter Campbell.

Jack is lovingly remembered by his loving daughter, Sheryl Campbell-Bennet (Dale) of Chico, CA, his son John C Campbell III (Juli) of Riverbank, CA, and Daughter in-law Denise Del Carlo-Campbell of Missoula, MT.

He is also remembered by his grandchildren Katelyn Campbell of Missoula, MT, Bailey Campbell of Bozeman, MT, Connor Campbell of Bozeman, MT, Thomas Campbell of Missoula, MT, and Cousins, Gary Brooks of Dublin, CA, Frank Reiman of Artois, CA, and Carolyn Kilmer of Benicia, CA.

The Campbell family wishes to thank California Park Rehab Hospital, Enloe Hospital, Enloe Hospice Agency, and West Haven Senior Living for all of the care, attention, and support they provided to Jack and the family.
