John was a very dear friend. I enjoyed many wonderful memories and fond times spent with John. His lust for life and enjoying every minute was exemplified in his daily routines. Travels to Hawaii and Mexico and travels through out California bring fond memories of wonderful times. John was a dear friend that will be missed.

It is hard for me to believe that my Uncle, John Jr., is gone. For as long as I can remember, he was a constant fixture in our lives and one could always expect him to welcome an impromptu visit, regardless of how he was feeling. My uncle had a wonderful sense of humor and he loved to tease and laugh. His happiness and mirth were like a contagion, and easily infectious. A self-made man, throughout his life he exemplified a tireless work ethic, and amassed his wealth as a result of his own determination and intelligence. He was one of the most kind-hearted people I have ever known and gave selflessly to his community, friends and family. In the final analysis, I contend that the true measure of a man is by how he treats others. By applying this metric, I am confident that my Uncle now walks the golden streets of heaven, accompanied by his beloved parents, John and Helen, and his younger brother Dan, in a long-awaited reunion. As my wonderful Uncle embraces eternity, I am certain that he has found the love-filled peace he so sought out during his earthly life. Thus, the world is a beautiful place, but much more beautiful still, due to people like him.

John Jr. as we knew him, was my big brother. He always worked hard to adchieved his goals. Through the years, John and Richard rode their horse together. John Jr. was truly a horsemen. He knew his horses and could put in a full day on their back. We had many a trail rides together in the foot hills, sierra mountains, cattle country, river bottoms, and with the Golden Feather Riders.
