John G. Morgan Obituary

Major John G Morgan passed away in his home, surrounded by family, on March 26, 2017, after a long battle with cancer. He was born June 14, 1945 in Charolette, North Carolina. He is preceded by his father Clarence Holland Morgan, mother Mary Wiggs Morgan, sisters Mary Carpenter and Pat Loftin.

He joined the Air Force after graduating college from North Carolina State. He served 21 years of active military duty. He was fortunate enough to join the US Air Force SR71 program as a RSO. He had over 1200 flight hours in the best spy plane ever built.

After retiring from military service, he went on to become one of the best math teachers at Mary Covillaud Elementary School teaching for 20 years, inspiring youth to achieve their goals and become master jugglers.

After retiring in 2010, he and his wife traveled around the country in their RV getting to see all the beauty in America. They also were able to travel to Europe. They went on many cruises.

He will be missed dearly by all his friends and family. He is survived by his wife Judy Morgan, brother Max Morgan, daughter Allison Morgan, son Christopher Morgan and many more.

There will be a viewing on Tuesday, April 11th, at Lakeside Colonial Chapel, 830 D St Marysville, CA 95901 from 1:00pm - 5:00pm; Ceremony taking place at 2:00pm. The following day, April 12th, the burial will take place at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Rd., Dixon, CA 95926 at 11:30am. Everyone is welcome to attend.
