John Sanchez Obituary

October 15, 1948 - March 11, 2015

John passed away on March 11, 2015 from a very long battle with liver and brain cancer. John and his wife Darlene were married for 42 years. He gave his heart to the Lord 15 years ago.

He graduated from San Jose High School in 1966, then went into the Army. He served honorably until 1969, with two tours in Vietnam, as well as a Vietnam Veteran who served his country with much pride, and received a Purple Heart among other awards. He worked for 30 years with the City of Palo Alto, retired in 2009 and moved to Marysville in 2010.

John was very humble, caring, and loving man who loved his wife to the moon, a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He loved God and lived his faith so joyously and solidly, always positive, caring of others, charismatic and loved to help others and people he just met.

John is preceded in death by his mother Maria Sanchez; brothers, Richard and Daniel Sanchez; sister Teresa Mendivil and niece Diana Jester.

He is survived by his brother Elias Sanchez, sister-in-law Lilly Sanchez, brother-in-law Steve Reinhart, sister-in-law Cherly Reinhart; son Ron Sanchez, daughter-in-law Rosemarie Sanchez; son Kyle, daughter-in-law Leah; daughter Colleen LePori, son-in-law Matt Lepori; chosen daughter Milly Eggebraaten, chosen son-in-law Jermiath Eggebraaten; grandkids Dylan Sanchez; Princess Sanchez; Jaxson LePori; Blair LePori; chosen grandkids Damon and Blake Eggebraaten and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to the service and the celebration of life to be held at Calvary Christian Center, Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 1:00 pm at 2620 Colusa Hwy., Yuba City.

John will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
