John T. Preslar Obituary
John T. Preslar, born August 15, 1941 in Grants Pass, Oregon, passed away March 1, 2014 at age 72, while at home with his loving family in Olivehurst, CA.

John was a member of the Labor Union, Local 185, since 1960. He worked on numerous projects up and down the states of California and Oregon. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, #454 in Olivehurst and was very active and loved it and his friends there. He also loved Nascar and was an avid Earnhart fan. John loved football as well.

John was 1 of 12 children born to Temple and Helen Preslar, and they preceded him in death. He was also preceded by brothers, Donny, Shorty, Lewis, Sherman & Weldon Preslar; sisters, Laverda Pugh and Fay Kennedy.

He is survived by his loving wife, Freda of 53 years; sons, Raleigh (Lynn) Preslar, Randel (Cindy) Preslar; foster daughter, Tena Monroe; grandchildren: Tabitha and Michael Preslar, all of Olivehurst, CA, and grandsons, Randy and Christopher Preslar; great - granddaughter, Angel Mae Preslar, all of Huntsville, Texas; sisters, Barbara Jarrett of Oroville, Marjorie Atkin of Emit, ID, and Joanne Luttrell of Yuba City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Yuba Sutter Hospice for all of their fantastic care.

Visitation will be from 4pm - 7pm on March 6, 2014 at Holycross Memorial Services in Yuba City. Graveside Services will be held March 7, 2014 at 11:00am with Rev. Cynthia Silva, officiating at Oroville Cemetery, 5646 Lincoln Blvd., Oroville, CA. Friends and family are welcome to join us at the Moose Lodge in Olivehurst after the Graveside Services.

A Celebration of Life will be held March 8, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Moose Lodge in Olivehurst, CA.
