Junior (Bee) Booth Obituary

Junior (Bee) Booth, 85, of Olivehurst, passed away November 4, 2015. Born December 7, 1929, in Hollister, MO, he was the last surviving child of Johnny Booth and Cora Cocker Booth's 6 sons and 2 daughters.

Working hard was important to him and he often talked with pride of how he found a job working at a bakery in Mountain Side within hours of arriving in California at the age of 13.

As a young man he served his country in the Korean War. A fortunate broken arm got him a trip home and he was able to marry his childhood friend, Anita Hale, on the last day of 1951, before returning to the war.

Together they raised a family and a business, Junior Booth & Sons Trucking. He was in trucking for 51 years. He also spent time living, visiting, and hunting in Missouri, Arkansas, and Alaska.

He is survived by his wife, Anita; their 5 children: Cheryl, Ronald, Lonny "Sonny", Michael, and Karla; their 7 grandchildren: Jannelle, Denise, Justin, Kristina, Leslie, Travis, and Nash; and their 5 great-grandchildren: Cora, Quinn, Cassidy, Skylar Rose, and Flynn; and his dog, Venus.

He was a great man who was deeply loved by his family and who will be deeply missed.

There will be a memorial service on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 11:00 am at Lakeside Colonial Chapel, 830 D Street, Marysville.
