Karl Alden Warmuth Obituary

Karl Alden Warmuth of Marysville, CA passed away on January 10, 2017 at the age of 66. Karl was born in San Fernando, CA on June 17, 1950 to Frank and Betty (Wurch) Warmuth. He grew up in Sylmar, CA as the second eldest of 6 kids.

Karl graduated from Sylmar High School in 1969 before serving his country in the United States Army. Karl completed 3 tours in Vietnam (1969-1972) as a Crew Chief/ Gunner with the 201st CAC, the Red Barons. Karl retired from the USDA in Maysville, CA in 2016.

As a perpetual bachelor, Karl never had kids of his own, but enjoyed the good-times with his nieces and nephews. He is remembered for his sense of humor and treating his nieces and nephews to the good things in life like Coca-Cola and Tootsie-Roll pops. On many occasions, it wasn't unheard of for him to be seated at the "kid's" table during Thanksgiving and for pulling pranks like putting Stay-Puff Marshmallow Man in the mashed potatoes.

A memorial service for Karl is scheduled for March 4th, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Veteran's Memorial Hall in Auburn, CA. Please come and share your story about Karl or a memory you have. We will always carry you in our hearts and we are happy for your return to Zumar.
