Karl Kogler Obituary

Karl Kogler 78, passed away in Marysville on September 15, 2010. He owned a custom marine canvas business on his small ranch on the Sacramento River between Isleton & Rio Vista; he raised cattle there and grew flowers, fruit & vegetables which he loved to share with friends & family. When he retired from designing & fabricating canvas work 15 years ago, he sold the ranch & moved with his new wife, Darla, to Loma Rica where they grazed cattle on the properties they bought there. Karl loved to find a run-down place and transform it into a site both productive & attractive. Born in Kremsbrucke, Austria in 1932, he came to America with his lovely Dutch wife, Rita (who predeceased him in 1977) and their 2 young sons. He is survived by his wife, Darla, his sons, Fred (Ferdinand) & Hans (Hans Rudolf), both of Rio Vista, his stepdaughter, Mylinda Finney of Clovis, CA, stepson Randy (Randall) Noseworthy of Lakewood, OH, a brother Adolf Kogler of Austria, a sister, Martha Payer of Austria as well as 9 grandchildren, Carl, Erick, Maria & Christoph Kogler, all of Rio Vista, Sairene Patterson of Fresno, Bryan Wood of Paradise, CA, Elizabeth & Alexander Noseworthy of Avon Lake, OH, and one great-granddaughter Tayana Dae Wood of Paradise, along with many beloved nieces & nephews. One of the happiest days of his life was May 1, 1969 when he became a citizen of the USA. Memorial services officiated by Pastor Wayne Vincent are scheduled for September 26, 2010 at 3pm at Loma Rica Community Church in Loma Rica at 11234 Loma Rica Rd. Cremation with private inurnment has been held under the direction of Chapel of the Twin Cities in Yuba City, CA. Send Condolences to www.appealdemocrat.com
