Karolyn "Kay" Hobbs Obituary

Karolyn "Kay" Hobbs, 77, of Yuba City, CA, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017, at The Fountains nursing home in Yuba City. Kay had suffered from Alzheimer's disease for several years.

She was born in Atchison, KS, and later moved to Hutchinson, KS, where she eventually met her husband, Charlie Hobbs. Kay worked as an RN for 30 years, then becoming a CFP helping the elderly and wards of the state. Kay never met a stranger and was always there to help and always with a smile and a joke.

The family would like to thank The Gardens and The Fountains for taking great care of Kay in her last 5 1/2 years. They would also like to say thank you to her friend Walt who showed her love and support these last several years.

She is survived by her two sons, John Hobbs (Jamie) of Atlanta, GA and Joseph Hobbs (Michelle) of Jackson, MO; a daughter, Kathy Steele of Yuba City, CA; one sister, Susan Hernandez (Dennis) of Coldwater, KN and one brother, Patrick Farrell (Teena), of Hilton Head, SC; six grandchildren, one great-grandson and two more on the way.

Kay's wishes were to have everyone remember all the good times they had and to try to continue giving back to others as you are able to do.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: www.Alz.org to help fight the awful disease of Alzheimer's.

She is now with her husband Charlie Hobbs who passed away in 2005 and having a great time with all of those who passed before her.
