Kenneth Lloyd Denney Obituary

Kenneth Lloyd Denney was born in Marysville, CA. December 12th, 1949 to Lloyd George Denney and Nora Bell Hartman. Kenneth loved camping, gold panning, cross country skiing, and photography. He grew up in Marysville where he attended Marysville High School and later lived as a Yuba Co resident for over 50 years. He achieved his GED prior to entering the U.S. Army for his first tour in Vietnam. Kenneth served two tours in Vietnam in the U.S. Army as an infantryman and later as a gunner in a helicopter. Kenneth received several accommodations including the U.S. Air Medal for completing over 25 missions in a 4-month period. After serving in the Army Kenneth enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Enterprise for an additional 4 years as a radio operator.

Kenneth continued his service after the military by first working as a fire spotter for the U.S. Forrest Service and later retiring from the U. S. Postal Service after 20 years as a custodian.

He was preceded in death by his parents Nora Bell Hartman and Lloyd George Denney.

Kenneth is survived by a sister Patricia Dailey (Keith), brother Loren Farmer, 2 nieces Loree Farmer, Tawnya Smallwood (Scott), and a great niece Jalisa Paez.

Services will be graveside at 10:00 am, June 22nd, at Live Oak Cemetery.
