Kenneth Wayne Lytle Obituary

Kenneth Wayne Lytle passed away peacefully at his home in Yuba City, CA, on December 27, 2016, at the age of 80. Ken was born in Renton Oklahoma. He resided in Yuba City for 75 years.

He graduated from Yuba City High School well known as a star football player. He went on to Yuba College where he continued playing football for the Original 49er's. He was later inducted into the Yuba College Football Hall of Fame. He attended Chico State for 2 years and completed his studies in Agriculture from UC Davis in 1958. Ken retired in 2001 from Butte County Rice Growers Association, after over 25 years of service.

He was a avid fisherman, hunter and an excellent golfer. His close friends and family will miss his bountiful garden with "the best tomatoes in the world".

He was a member of Peach Tree Golf Club & served on the board. He also belonged to the Elks Club and The Moose Lodge. He served on the California Fertilizer Association as a board member.

Ken is survived by his devoted wife Marlene (Howard) Lytle of nearly 40 years, his children Scott and Michele, his stepchildren Deanna Dedeker (Randy), Gay Ullrey, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and brother William Lytle.

Preceded in death by William E. Lytle, father, Esther F. Lytle, mother, Roy and Larry Lytle, brothers and Teri Cartoscelli stepdaughter.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am on January 4, 2017 at Live Oak Cemetery, reception follows at 1 pm at Peach Tree Country Club.
