After a courageous battle with multiple medical issues, Larry Wesley Fox Sr., 68, departed this world on September 27, 2017, at his home in Yuba City. He entered this world on November 15, 1948, in Tacoma, WA. He was the child of Lawrence and Mary Fox. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Francis McMains. He is survived by his wife, Connie Fox, his son, Larry (Royea) Fox Jr., and his three grandchildren; Allison, Aiden and Nathan Fox, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry graduated from Franklin Pierce High School in 1968, and joined the United States Air Force. He was stationed at Hickam AFB in Hawaii where he met the love of his life, Connie. They were married in 1971 . Larry was all about family and caring for them. He loved to travel and go fishing with his family and friends.

Upon completion of his stellar 20 year military career at Beale AFB CA, 9th Contracting Squadron Superintendent MSgt Fox retired. He became a Civil Servant as the Construction Flight Chief/Contracting Officer. Beale underwent many transformations with many new buildings during his tenure. He was called the Million Dollar Man. He took a position at Keesler AFB helping them to rebuild after Hurricanes. He returned to Beale AFB as the Operational Contracting Flight Chief/Contracting Officer in charge of purchasing Commodities, Services and Construction projects. He retired from Civil Service after 20 years of outstanding service.

Larry was a member of the American Legion, Linda Post 807, and served as the Sgt-At-Arms and was the Second Vice Commander for the last 2 years, a member of Yuba-Sutter NARFE Chapter and served as Secretary, and a Member of the Sons in Retirement (SIR) and active in their fishing club.

He will be remembered for his big heart and willingness to always help.

A Celebration of life will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, October 8th, 2017, at the
Linda American Legion located at 5477 Feather River Blvd, Olivehurst, CA. A pot-luck reception will be held after the ceremony.
