Lee Leslie Thompson Jr.
Lee Leslie Thompson Jr. died on March 17, 2013 at Summerfield Senior Care Center, where he had received loving care.
Lee was born December 2, 1922 in Detroit, MI. He served during W.W.II on the European Front earning 5 Battle Stars, Combat Infantry Badge, Good Conduct and Bronze Star Medals. In civilian life he worked as an automobile mechanic. Lee was a Yuba City resident and member of St. Isidore Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus for 25 years. He spent many years working with the Christian Assistance Network (CAN).
Lee is survived by his wife of 66 years, Rosemary; children: Richard (Kathy) Thompson, Elaine Thompson, Mark Thompson, Lisa (Darrell) Steele; grandchildren: Deanna (Peter) Bouton, Rick Thompson, Michael Thompson, Chris Thompson, Laura Thompson, Emily Steele; 3 great grandchildren; brother William (Thelma) Thompson; and several nieces & nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013 at St. Isidore Catholic Church beginning with Visitation at 10:00 a.m. A Rosary will be said at 10:30 a.m., followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. A private burial will be held with Military Honors. Contributions can be made to the Food Locker at St. Isidore or to Sutter North Hospice.
