Lester Christian Preuninger Obituary

Lester Christian Preuninger, passed away on May 29, 2015. Born in Marion, Ohio on March 30, 1918. He graduated from High School in Marion. He worked as a truck driver prior to entering the Navy SeaBees during W.W.II. After W.W.II he settled in Southern California where he met and married Martha Paul on April 1947. They both worked for the Howard Hughes Aircraft Industry for many years and were instrumental in the lunar landing module for the Apollo moon mission. After retiring they moved to Northern California. Martha passed away on June 1, 1999.

Lester was a lifetime member of both the American Legion and V.F.W. Also a member of Lions Club of America. He was proud to be a member of the Royal Order of Moose Club. Lester married Bernice on March 1, 2003. Bernice passed away on December 16, 2009.

Lester was a fine pianist and loved to play for guests at the Fountains and Yuba City Senior Center. You could name the tune and Lester would play it. Lester was an avid golfer, having scored four Holes in one during his life time. Fishing was also on of his passions.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 5th, 2015 at 11:00 at the Live Oak Cemetery in Live Oak, California.
