Lewis T. Daniels Jr., 74, of Las Vegas, NV, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 8, 2015.

Lewis was born in Monahans, TX, to Lewis Sr. and Virginia (Powell) Daniels on Aprril 6, 1941 and raised in Napa, CA. He married Lee E. Harmon on January 14, 1961 in Albuquerque, NM.

Together, he and Lee raised five daughters while traveling the country in the U.S. Air Force. Upon his retirement from the Air Force in 1981, he settled in Marysville, CA, and joined the Civil Service before moving to New Boston, TX, in 1993 and Colorado Springs, CO, in 2008. He retired to Las Vegas in 2014.

Lewis was a faithful Christian, lifelong patriotic service member and dedicated family man who enjoyed sightseeing, electronics, mechanics, firearms, horticulture and animal husbandry.

His greatest pleasure was spending time with his family. His laughter, kindness and joy for life endeared him to many.

He's survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Lee, four daughters, Stacie Doty, Jennifer Solas and Sharron Daniels of Las Vegas, NV, and Amy (Roger) Childress of Colorado Springs, CO; 15 grandchildren, three great- grandchildren, sisters Minnie Poteet of Hallwood, CA and RoseElla Blackwood of Pauls Valley, OK; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Kelly Harmon, sister Helen Stampfli, mother-in-law Violet (Rainey) Harmon and his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Steve Lodesky at 10:00 AM on November 30, 2015, in the chapel of Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, NV, with interment to follow. Lewis will receive full military honors conducted by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard.
