She attended La Sallette Academy for girls, which emphasized the Catholic faith in its curriculum from 1949 - 1953, where she graduated & later took courses to become a legal secretary.

After graduating from La Sallette, Louise left Covington to live with Jane & Rafe Sinclair in Louisville. Her only son Blaise was born in June of 1968. The family moved back to California in 1973 when Carl was a systems analyst for the Health Care Finance Administration of the federal government. The family eventually settled in the bedroom community of Novato from 1973-1993. Carl and Louise moved to Yuba City, California where he retired in 1993. They bought land there and constructed a house 2 years later. Louise's husband Carl died of cancer on April 10, 2009.
