Louise Lane Obituary

Born September 16th, 1955, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, Louise was the youngest of four daughters born to Calvin and Lorene Bird. Louise was called home to the Lord on May 18th, 2017. Although Louise was born in Oklahoma, throughout her life she had resided in several other states as well, including Colorado, Nevada, and California.

Louise was a very passionate individual who gave her all to everything that she did. She was a very diligent and hard worker at every professional endeavor, from being a Cosmetologist and Waitress, to a Tree Surgeon, and most recently as a Registered Nurse, receiving her Associates Degree in 1995 from Redlands Community College in Oklahoma.

When choosing a word to describe Louise and her spirit, one might choose "caring." She was not only a care giver to others throughout her nursing career, but was always willing to help those in need. Her caring spirit was evident in her actions such as being a foster parent, a kidney donor, as well as her daily interactions with anyone needing a helping hand, often with open arms welcoming others to call her home theirs.

"Weeze," as she was affectionately called by many who loved her, thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her extended family and was looking forward to retirement in September, where she planned on traveling and doing just that. She loved holidays and family events where everyone gathered around a large table for fellowship and a meal, spending days ahead of time preparing homemade egg noodles, pies, and candies.

Louise is survived by aunt, Alene Clark, of Lavaca, Arkansas, sisters Judy Evans, of Yuba City, CA and Lorena (Bill) Sutter, of El Cajon, CA, multiple cousins including Dick (Barbara) Bird of Luther, Oklahoma, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lorene Godwin, her father, Calvin Bird, sister, Allie Ott, and stepson, Matt Lane.

A memorial will be held at The Church of Christ-Twin Cities, 1033 Royo Ranchero Drive, Yuba City, CA on Monday, May 22nd, 2017 at 3:30 pm.
