Luther Batts Obituary

Luther (Lou) H. Batts was born in Dysart, PA on October 30, 1936, and he passed away on September 27, 2010 at the age of 73 at Rideout Hospital in Marysville, CA. Lou was a resident of the Yuba Sutter area for over 50 years and is survived by a daughter, Pamela Batts, a son, Gary Batts, and two grandchildren, Melissa Walker and Kyle Batts, all of Yuba City, CA. Luther served in the U. S. Air Force from 1955 to 1963 as a healthcare professional primarily in Radiology. He worked at Fremont Hospital for 35 years and retired as a Lead Tech in Radiology. Lou was an active bowler for many years. Not only did he love to bowl, but he loved to camp, fish and watch his two favorite teams play, the San Francisco 49ers and the San Francisco Giants. Lou loved to joke around, and was known for his entertaining personality. He will be greatly missed by friends and family, and will never be forgotten. Private services will be held by the family. Gary, Pam, Kyle and Melissa, I will always have fond memories of Lou. Lots of laughter and lots of "cigarette" breaks out back of Fremont and lots of fun memories. I first met him in 1968 when I went to work at Fremont Hospital. We always could find things to laugh about. I'll miss "Daddy" Lou. I'm sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you all.
